Nakamichi CR-7 Mint and restored to better than new

Here is a unique opportunity to own a better than new Nakamichi flagship deck. The CR7 is the universal voltage model of the venerated 7a. It is a matter of debate if the CR7 sounds better than the Dragon. However, either the 7, 7a, or Dragon are the true pinnacle of tape decks when restored, updated, aligned, and recorded with metal tape.  
The deck for sale here has had all the above newly completed. It was restored to better than new by Electronic Service Labs (ESL) in CT -- considered one of the two best Nakamichi service firms in America. The extensive modifications, upgrades, and replacements cost $1700 alone. I instructed ESL to spare no expense to achieve at or better than new sound and function. The unit comes with a 1 year warranty from ESL (like a new unit) and will be shipped to you directly from ESL with the same metallic calibration tape used.  
Why am I selling this machine relatively cheap over the restoration costs? After purchasing the CR7, which was a 9/10 cosmetically for my reference grade system, and sending it off for the no holds bar ESL restoration, I found a pristine Otari RTR that was modified for the Tape Project. My preamplifier can't accommodate two decks 🙁, and I need a RTR.  Therefore, get the equivalent of a NIB Nakamichi decades after its release. My price is very fair and so non-negotiable. Can you get one cheaper? Yes, and I encourage you to buy it if you want to economize. However, if you want an audiophile piece, buy this machine for a bit more -- and get audiophile listening and bragging rights. The CR7 will arrive professionally packed (so you get a box for future use) with the operating manual and remote control. Thanks for looking.
