Here is another rare beauty that will give you the joy you thought you could never have from a cassette player. Please remember that a cassette deck is nothing more or less than a mini reel to reel player. Of course, like anything else you must record good recordings and use the top tapes and there are tons of great ones still out there as I have found out. With 84 upgrades this unit is better than new because the caps I used are better than anything they had back then in my opinion. I used Blackgates, Nichicon Muse, Elna and more top electrolytic and film caps. I put film in as many keys places as I can and they make a huge difference. Also it now has much better RCA's with pure copper or silver solid wire with Telfon, a Furutech IEC and every thing works properly. This unit has a ton of special features/functions that no others have and simply because Revox was trying to make one of the best cassette made. In many minds or better ears they are there with a few of the top ones only separated by choice mainly. This one also uses a remote but sadly I do not have the remote but I think maybe you might be able to buy a learning remote and key in the Revox numbers to use some of the functions.

As far as the rating it is mainly for age and because someone decided to scratch in his favorite FM Station for some reason. It only has two bad places, with that being one and the only other one is a scratch on the pause button. This thing is built to last and now with all new electrolytic caps it should do that for years I pray and sound wonderful in the process. It functions properly and you can look it up on the web and the Vintage Knob where I found these specs to found out about all it's functions/features. Notice the number of motors and also that there are no rubber belts to go bad.
