Sonorus Audio PR-99 Reel to Reel Deck

I am selling my Sonorous Audio-modified Revox PR-99 tape deck. This Revox PR-99 was modified by Arian Jansen of Sonorous Audio on 11/4/2009. I purchased this deck in May 2014 and am the second owner since modification. The first owner was a music producer that used it sparingly. I have put about 30 hours on this deck in total. It has been in storage since I purchased a Studer A807 in October 2014.

Through my correspondence with Mr. Jansen I have learned the following modifications were completed on this deck:

"The full SonoruS modification included power supply rail improvements on record and playback PCBs as well as replacement of all audio related electrolytic caps and ceramic caps, by either silver mica caps, mylar caps or combination of mylar caps and electrolytic caps. Both recording and playback circuits have design modification to get NAB EQ at 7.5ips and IEC EQ at 15ips and achieve 20Hz low-end performance with minimal phase error. This is also the only fully modified unit with XLR inputs that was completed in 2009."

Measurements taken by Mr. Jansen after modification yielded 20.3Hz - 23.2kHz (15ips) with very minimal head ringing and 18.2Hz - 22.3kHz at 7.5ips. It is currently biased for SM468 tape for recording.

It is in excellent physical and electronic condition and functions beautifully. I am only selling it because I am getting out of tape all together. The Revox NAB adapters and take-up reel will be included in this sale. I would prefer a local sale as I prefer not to ship tape decks if possible. If it must be shipped it will be boxed and then shipped on a pallet to keep handling to a minimum. Therefore packing and shipping costs are set at $250. If actual shipping costs are lower a refund will be provided.
