Selling a very nice Technics SP-15 turntable mounted in a 6 layer baltic birch plinth with 1/4" cherry veneer and rosewood trim. Plinth is DIY and has some minor defects but overall looks pretty nice. Very heavy and solid. The motor unit has some minor scratches, but overall is in good cosmetic condition. All functions, buttons, switches, brake work as they should. This is NOT a beater table that was found in an abandoned radio station! The Rega RB250 tonearm has been rewired with Cardas wiring with a DIN plug, external cabling is a new Audioquest Wildcat tonearm cable. Counterweight is a Mitchell with both weights. Arm is mounted in a small walnut armboard. Arm is mounted correctly at 222mm and VTA can be adjusted with washers, I will include a few. I will also include the original platter mat and a TTWeights delrin/walnut mat which works very nicely. Plinth has small solid maple feet with felt on the bottom, they are stuck on with carpet tape and can be easily removed if new owner has other feet they may want to install. No cartridge is included. I have a few new and low hour cartridges I can install for additional cost.
Sounds very nice, I have another SP-15 turntable in my main system and these units have great torque!
USA sale only due to weight, no Paypal fees. Buyer pays UPS ground shipping, approximately 40 pounds. Figure about $50 for ground shipping, I will pay anything over $50. I will remove the platter for shipping, tonearm will remain installed but will be well protected. I will double box for extra protection as well.
