Introducing, The Anchor FlatWire power cable.
The Anchor means what the name says. It is the connection your system makes to the power grid. The Anchor powers your high end audio equipment using proven Furutech IEC and Mains connectors with an annealed, tinned, pure copper cable.
This listing is for an FI-AU 3112(G) Australia/New Zealand Cable, 1.5m length
With all Anchor power cables, every plug is internally encapsulated with the same encapsulation technique used in fiber optic closures and cables. Much of the engineering that went into The Anchor is based on our experience and expertise of 16 years, designing, building, and testing fiber optic cables and systems. We custom built the fiber optic cables that run the worlds largest HDTV, as well as broadcast TV, and the latest and largest data centers in the world.
This USA hand made cable uses purified, 100% copper, annealed, tinned wire. This eliminates inductance (magnetism), giving it an advantage over round and braided wire. It is also very flexible, and is easy to route into your system. The pure copper electroplated with tin is beneficial because the tin is less conductive than copper. As the electrons hit the copper/tin interface they will propagate to the path of least resistance, which is the pure copper; it's like marbles in a tube. In fiber optics, with photons, it's called "total internal refection".
Annealing, in metallurgy and materials science, is a heat treatment wherein a material is altered, causing changes in its properties such as strength and hardness. It is a process that produces desirable conditions by heating to above the recrystallization temperature and maintaining a suitable temperature, and then cooling. Annealing is used to induce ductility, soften material, relieve internal stresses, refine the structure by making it homogeneous, and improve cold working properties.
