Very-Good to Excellent condition sonically and cosmetically from smoke-free, pet-free listening room. No blemishes in wood front back or sides; no tears or pulls in grille cloth. I am second owner, but these beauties are a near-9 rating.
Both woofers, rebuilt by Thiel, replaced January 2012 by me. The two brass buttons on each side are apparently cosmetic endcaps for bracing struts added by previous owner, who was a cabinet maker and DIY tinkerer. I cannot swear to an improvement over original models, because I never auditioned them side-by-side. But these sound great. Reason for sale: I switched to Quad 2905's and these need to go.
