Up for sale is a Threshold S200 100 watt per channel A/AB STASIS amplifier. This model is the late version, with optical bias and black faceplate.
The amp was restored in early 2011. It has the following upgrades:
1. New Electrolytic caps, including Power Supply caps (with bypass caps installed for better Bass and HF)
2. New HEXFRED rectifier
3. New internal wiring
4. New Cardas RCA jacks
5. New Speaker Binding posts
6. Bias and DC offset adjusted to factory specs.
Cosmetically, the unit is an 8 of 10. The unit is rated 7 of 10 primarily due to age.
This is one of the best sounding of the Threshold amplifiers, and they hold their own against modern equipment. One of the best features about this amp is that it doubles the power to 200 watts at 4 ohms. The reason for the sale is that I’m upgrading to a Pass Labs XA30.5.
Asking 750.00, plus shipping. Given the restoration work involved, this is a good buy.
Shipping to lower 48 only. Feel free to email with questions.
