The 407 is a dynamic balanced tonearm, so one balances it and then dials in the prescribed tracking force. 
The Ikeda is the best with the high mass, low compliance cartridges
Of all the cartridges I tried in the Ikeda tonearm, by far the best match was the Koetsu Coralstone; the combination was magical (cartridge will be for sale too if interested).
