For sale is a wonderful Moerch DP6 tonearm in chrome with red dot and blue dot 9" armwands. The arm comes with the original Vampire DIN-to-RCA phono cable and a Wally Tractor protractor for Moerch 9" arms. The condition of the arm is absolutely top-notch operationally and cosmetically. The original packing is a little shabby -- the styrofoam has a nick in the corner and the outer paper sleeve has a couple minor tears. Still presentable though, in case it matters to someone. My ratings are always conservative -- look at my feedback.
There is also an extra mounting collet (arm base), so you could have it mounted on a different tonearm base for example for easy swaps, or you could get another main pivot and have yourself another DP6 between two arms that are included -- Moerch sells all parts separately, too.
Also included is the Dynavector Karat 17d2mkII cartridge that works superbly with the red Dot arm. I cannot guarantee the hours on the cart but can offer this information: the original owner I got it from said the cart had under 75 hours and had been used as his backup while his Zyx was being serviced. I did not play the cartridge much myself either, as I ended up primarily using a GAS Sleeping Beauty (can make one available as well to the pourchaser of the arm, read below). It did under 40 hours at the VERY MOST before I switched to GAS and put it in its box. I have more pictures of the cartridge; email me for a link.
As mentioned, as an option, I can provide a NOS NIB GAS Sleeping Beauty to the buyer of this arm for an extra $200, FIRM (I have several, actually, but will only part with one at this price and only for the buyer of the Moerch). This one is either elliptical stylus or Shibata -- cannot say for sure without a microscope. It is NOT the spherical version. At some point in the past I was lucky enough to buy several of them NOS. They are a wonderful moving coil cartridge with a very well rounded, full, detailed, yet non-fatiguing, sound. Work very well with Cinemag step-up transformers, I actually preferred that setup to Stevens and BIllington and various vintage Siemens/Haufe.
The arm will be packed bombproof, and all the little bits will be carefully secured with masking tape and extra styrofoam inside the styrofoam box.
