Rega RB-250 w/mods-Origin Live, Riggle CCM, Michell

 Rega RB-250 tonearm with several modifications:

1) Structural Upgrade by Pete Riggle Audio Engineering

2) Origin Live VTA

3) J.A. Michell finger nut

4) DIN connector

This arm uses the traditional Rega 23mm mount (23mm diameter hole in arm board), same as Origin Live tonearms.  No "spacers" needed, nor the grief of the new Rega mount abomination.

Each of the four mods increased the RB-250's ability to produce better sounds.  The structural upgrade is the Pete Riggle CCM (Counterweight for the Common Man), which includes replacement of the stock Rega end stub and counterweight with the Riggle stainless steel insert secured by a socket head set screw and a lacquered brass finish counterweight.  The stock Rega version will be included if one wants to hear the original degradation.  The second mod, Origin Live VTA, allows for easy VTA adjustment, critical for some cartridges, especially those with a Shibata type stylus.  The Michell finger nut provides a quality anodized nut for securing the tonearm to its mounting board.  The DIN connector was on this tonearm when I acquired it years ago, and provides an easy method to connect to a phono preamp.  I used this tonearm on numerous turntables, and the photos show it mounted on a VPI Aries Scout (not included).  The best phono interconnect used was a Bolder Cable Company female DIN to RCA (not included).  Each mod allowed this tonearm to perform far beyond its humble origins.  The Audio Technica cartridge shown in the photos is not included in this listing.  The Aries Scout arrived with an Origin Live Silver tonearm, so  no longer need this RB-250.  No PayPal fees.  Questions gladly entertained.
