VPI Industries 12" Classic 4 arm-wand FREE SHIPPING

Up for sale is one VPI 12” Classic 4 tonearm wand – tonearm base NOT included. I had a VPI TNT 6 with a JMW 12.5 tonearm – the wand, of which, had a very audible resonance. I had toyed with upgrading to the 12.7 arm wand, but didn’t. When the 3D printed arm came out I decided to spring for it but, when I went to order it from the analog guy I had worked with for years, he argued that the Classic 4 sounded better than the 3D printed – and, it cost half as much. I went with his recommendation and was very pleased. Several months later, analog maven Michael Fremer did one of his A/B tests asking AnalogPlanet viewers to choose which of two otherwise identical files they liked best – not divulging which was the Classic 4 wand and which the 3D printed wand. Viewers chose the Classic 4. Now you have the chance to get that arm-wand at ¼ the price of a 3D printed arm-wand.

The Classic 4 for sale was used on my TNT for two years and is in perfect condition – functionally and cosmetically. It is wired with VPI’s Premium Discovery copper wire and my bill of sale states that this is a “Steve Leung Special Classic 4 12” armwand.” It also comes with a 160 gram counterweight. (VPI sells counterweights from 100 g to 200 g in 20 g increments to suit different cartridge weights.) In addition, it comes with a caddy with Velcro straps for safely storing an extra armwand – if you use a second armward/cartridge. According to my analog guy, whom I’ve worked with for a decade and who has extensive experience selling and setting up VPI turntables, in response to my email query regarding compatibility, “your 12" arm-wand should work on any 12" VPI tonearm base.”
