Pono Player - designed by Ayre, sounds very smooth and transparent. Plays high resolution up to 192kHz. The best way to enjoy is with balanced headphones or use it as a complete playback system which is what I did. I had a balanced cable from the Pono straight to my amps using the player's volume and balanced output mode. It sounded wonderful and so simple to have a complete front end right in the palm of your hand. I also used it with Audeze EL8 headphones in balanced mode and that was a treat.
Included is a 32GB card with a lot of high resolution albums. If you interested in the 25 ft long balanced cable you can buy it for an additional $75...it has Neutrik XLR's on one end and Neutrik gold 3.5mm plugs for the Pono side. Blue Jeans cable charges $112 plus shipping to make this cable using Belden 1800F shielded cable. Two tech reports from Pono on using it in balanced mode and also a description of the volume control design. A lot of Ayre technology went into the design like the DAC filters making it sound so good.
So, $299 for the player, no scratches or marks, works perfect and has the extra 32GB card with several Hi Res albums. I do not have the box or manual but you don't need them, it's simply plug and play. If you want the 25ft balanced cables that will be an extra $75 (the cost of the bulk cable $1.50/ft. x 50 ft.). I will cover PayPal fees and shipping in Con USA. I accept checks. Message me if you have a question.
