Isn't she pretty? This lovely used Ars-Sonum Filarmonia SXJ integrated amplifier can be yours for just $2,695 plus shipping (new, this amp would be $4,500).

We just finished (May 2017) the factory upgrade of this amplifier (which involves removal of the main circuit board and sending it to Ars Sonum in Madrid Spain for circuit modifications/updates, after which the board is returned here and we install the factory upgraded board and fully test the amplifer) to its most current spec (SXJ) - this is one of our certified used Ars Sonum amplifiers (see details below). Additionally the power transformer underwent a sealing process (as done on all current production Ars Sonum amps) to quell mechanical noise.

Though this amp is close to 9 years old, it only saw very little use (one owner) because it was a spare/back-up amp in a rather good system (I doubt it saw more than 100 hours of use over the years it is in such good condition inside and out). It comes compete with box, manual, and a (6 month on the amplifier and 30 days on the tubes) warranty! The Ars Sonum Filarmonia is a fantastic sounding 30W/Ch push-pull (EL34/E34L) class A design (it is NOT a push pull Ultralinear or Triode design, but uses a screen grid regulated Pentode circuit that operates in push pull class A up to around 25W, after which it is Class AB up to clipping). Ars Sonum amp lifers are handcrafted in Madrid Spain. Previous version of the Filarmonia was reviewed by Stereophile (by John Marks) and received a Class A rating in their recommended components. This SXJ version/upgrade has improved parts layout, fewer capacitors in the signal path, upgraded (V-Cap) capacitors, hand wound transformers and more.

We test all the tubes, then run through three pages of factory specified measurements to guarantee the amp is working to spec and the tubes are good.
