Audible Illusions L-1 AWARD WINNING AUDIOPHILE LINESTAGE PREAMPLIFIER!

Up for sale is my AUDIBLE ILLUSIONS L1 AWARD WINNING, LINESTAGE  TUBE PREAMP/HEADPHONE AMP! This has been stored in my closet for past few years and seen very limited use. 

The Audible Illusions L1 preamp uses the linestage section of the Modulus 3A preamp (linestage + phono pre).  The L1 employs a pair of 6922 (or variants of 6922) vacuum tubes in a Class A circuit topology, high quality components are used throughout the design.  The sound produced by the L1 is lifelike and three dimensional with a wide and deep soundstage and precise imaging.  Bass is very deep and taut, midrange is sweet and holographic, and the top end is smooth and non-fatiguing.  I currently have it paired with a McCormack DNA-1 driving PMC TB2+ speakers with excellent results.  If you're not familiar with the L1, there is plenty of information available on the internet on both it and the M3A.  An excerpt from Stereophile's review of the Modulus 3a:

"The Modulus 3A offers the highest level of performance at a bargain price. It even allows you to switch out the line section's bypass caps for even purer sound (that's how my unit was run for this review), and there's a carefully implemented 7dB line-section gain-limiting switch if your digital source has very high output, thus allowing a wider range of volume pot control. If you don't need a phono section (poor you), Audible Illusions' L1 line-stage offers the same performance, plus a neat headphone amplifier, for $1495.
