Audio Research LS-15 Audio Research LS-15 Tube Line Stage Preamp

Very nice Audio Research LS-15 Tube Line Stage Preamp. Would rate it an 8
for its age. This is the later model with detachable power cord. It has been
tested and works as it should. Had this set up in a dedicated stereo room, no
kids or pets have been around it.  It has 4
NOS original, made in West Germany for Audio Research 6922 that have about 50 hours
on them. The tubes are the large O getter type. Also included, the original
Stovk tubes with about 2000 hours in them; they should have some life in them,
and can be used for back-up. The NOS tubes are the very best for this unit, and
hard to procure. They were matched to each other and will come in the soft tube
case, numbered to the tube sockets; the old tubes will come in numbered boxes,
numbered to the tube sockets. You will know where they go as they are labelled
(numbered). It was great sounding before, can't describe how much better it
sounds now! Work was performed on the remote, as battery leaked inside it; it functions
correctly now. I also had the preamplifier checked out. They re-soldered wires
to some RCA sockets. The name of the repair shop is on the back of the unit, in
case you wish to contact them. I have
the manual, remote and original double shipping box.

The LS15
is a line-level preamplifier, all-tube gain (12 dB standard) using four 6922
twin triode tubes in a Class A, fully differential zero feedback (balanced)
circuit with electronically regulated high and low-voltage supplies. The LS15
includes handheld IR remote control of all essential front-panel functions. An
on-board microprocessor controls a 70-step electronic relay attenuator and
5-position input selector. An additional Direct input (balanced) provides a
highest-signal-purity path for your favorite music source. A total of two
balanced and five single-ended (including tape) dedicated inputs are included.  Main
outputs are two balanced and one single-ended, with one pair of single-ended
tape outputs. Spring-activated toggle switches activate electronic relays to control
key functions with minimal signal degradation. The anodized front panel is
natural aluminium with rack-mount holes.I believe
the unit is priced well, although I will consider reasonable offers.

The box is in perfect condition, sorry I have no picture. I
will accept checks, but they must clear my back, money orders clear faster. PayPal
is alright, I do pay the fee, yet offers will be taken into consideration based
partly on the PayPal cost.

assume the shipping may be undervalued, and am less likely to accept an offer below
