The VT100 series of amps are one of our all time favorites from Audio Research's lineup. The 100W from it is one of the sweetest 100W you can get from any tube amp. We have paired it with a variety of speakers and every pairing never fails to impress. Bass was weighty, mids were rich and the highs were sweet and glorious. Its ten year production run is a testament of its popularity. The other good thing about this amp is that it was just recently serviced with new caps installed, worn out resistors and parts replaced to the tune of $1,500 at the service center. So this amp is good to go for many more years to come! Power tubes are used but still has some good life left.
Cosmetically, the amp looks good. Some scuff marks/knicks here and there which were touched up by a sharpie. We don't have the original box but will securely pack this for safe shipping.
