In metallic silver with thick, clear Plexiglas, this superb amplifier looks as good as it sounds. The amplifier's controls and etched nameplate are blue when on, and dimmed red when off. With 50 watts per channel of class A power, this amplifier works well with high or low efficiency speakers. The metal top plate can be removed if desired, as in the final photos, leaving just the thick Plexiglas, with the beautiful parts and transformers showing. This amp is self-biasing. Each tube has its own circuit to keep it perfectly biased at all times. I purchased the amplifier in 2014. (The newer ones are the same, but the plexiglass on this one is thicker and looks nicer.) After purchasing this amp, I searched for excellent power tubes. I purchased 2 matched Octets of new old stock German QQE 03/12 Telefunken tubes that I found in Spain and put away as backup sets. I have not used any of them and they are still in the boxes. (16 total) These will go to the new owner.
