Blue Circle's classic premier products - single-ended tube pre-amps and Class A, single-ended, hybrid amplifiers - achieved a unique reputation for their uncanny ability to 'the put the music into the room.' Rising above comparisons of warmth, coolness, resolution, soundstage, and the like, they proposed something that supercedes all of these parameters. A 12V trigger is built-in for home theater systems.
This amp was among the first of Blue Circle's "future-proof" designs.

In keeping with this idea the following UPGRADE OPTIONS are available:

- M2 output modules used in the current NSP and BC1022 models
- KQ upgrades. The KQ was originally designed as outboard power supply
upgrade for 200 series power amps. 75% of the KQ can be installed inside
the existing AG8000 chassis
- Interstage coupling capacitors can be upgraded, to film and foil caps.
- Internal signal and output wiring upgrade
