"45" Single Ended Triode stereo amplifier. I built it a while back using a donated vintage black wrinkle chassis containing most of the parts of a transmitter-- probably built in the early 1950s. I stripped it, cleaned it and touched-up some scratches in the paint. I drilled and punched several more holes and re-used the Thordarson power transformer and choke. I added two Transcendar 5K output transformers and two 2.5V filament transformers for the 45s. The driver stages consist of both halves of 12AT7s in SRPP mode. The rectifier is a 5U4, but a 5Y3 will work-- perhaps resulting in slightly lower B+. Do not use 5AR4 or 5V4 as B+ may exceed the ratings on the 45s. A schematic will be provided. The amp is fairly quiet driving my 96dB sensitivity speakers. Included will be two used 45s that tested above minimum on by TV-7/D. The 5U4 and 12AT7s are NOS items with very little use. The power transformer does "buzz" a bit as is common with older iron. Ground shipping will likely run around $40.00. Buyer to cover PayPal fees.
