For sale is a gorgeous stereo amplifier made by the respected James Burgess. The sound is absolutely beautiful. Perfect for high efficiency speakers. I have owned it for about 2 years and am the second owner. It is approximately 8 years old and has had very light use in my second system which I no longer have space for.
The amp can accommodate either 2A3 or 45 tubes via a switch on the back. It has new JJ 2A3 tubes installed.
It has the excellent James transformers, beautiful bubinga hardwood base, Vampire speakers posts, Cardas rca connects, captive power cord, and V-caps for coupling. It is auto bias, has hum pots, and is wired for 8 ohms. Amp comes as shown with the JJ 2A3 tubes and a pair of very rare Sylvania triple mica black plate 5751 (low mu 12ax7 variant). Rectifiers are half wave 6W4 damper diodes.
There is only a small scuff on top of the champagne colored power transformer, otherwise the amp looks new. The amp itself is silent, and is just about dead quiet on 101dB speakers (tiny AC hum with your ear next to the speaker driver).
The amp will be double boxed for safe shipping.
This amp needs a new home. At this price it is going to find one, fast. Do not delay.
