I got these directly from the hands of Bob Carver himself. These are the 5th pair that were made and are the second to last pair to use the vintage Altec transformers.
Less than 500 hours on these and they havent been used in over a year.
Each has 6- KT88's per amp and are the original unmarked Silver Eagles (per Bob). The front end of each amp uses 1- 12AX7, 1- 12AT7 and 1- 6AL6. All are Telefunken tubes and all test at 80% or better.
These amps feature a dual feedback switch which changes output timbre to suite your music or taste. Bob calls it a "Vintage or Modern" Sound. They will also drive ANY speaker or driver array from 1ohm to 32ohm.
Ive always been a tube audio guy. I make and repair tube amps myself. Ive owned Many of the best brands there are including Cary, McIntosh, Fisher, HK .....etc. These are the best amps Ive ever owned.
Only selling because I'm living in a smaller place now and dont have the room anymore.
I am willing to consider a partial trade for interesting Tube amplifiers working or not.
They will come with everything I got with them. Boxes, Bags, Tubes and bias pigtail.
Please email questions. Im happy to talk about a deal on the phone (preffered). Just ask for my #
I can deliver and set these up anywhere in Nevada, Utah or Arizona.

Questions for the seller
Hi,I have a pair of McIntosh MC-30 amps. They are functionally perfect, cosmetically not bad-some paint peeling, etc.Come with the best tubes for these amps.Would you be interested in a trade?I am abroad, and would be willing to pay half of the cost difference between your sending me the Carvers and my sending you the MACs. The MC-30s may be the best sounding McIntosh amps.I need more power for my ML CLSs. Please have a look at my A'gon feedback, and [filtered] under r.eylon. Raanan
Thanks for the offer and if you were in the U.S. I might consider it but theres no postal security or recourse on foreign transactions so I'll have to pass.
no problem. thank you for your reply. also, just for the record since it's a public forum. the paoli sobs are not dynaco. they initially used the transformers & a portion of the driver board but soon after a complete circuit design before the little piggies went to market. gordon holt reviewed them for stereophile. question; these are somewhat of a prototype themselves are they not? this is the same amps sans the altec trannies that bob is marketing now; correct? my best, mark
Sorry if I assume too much about them. Its just that after seeing so many of these circuits Ive found that most "modern" tube amps are an expound of an original 50's circuit. Sometimes geniously I'll add. Yes, these are nearly exactly the same as the ones he's making today sans the vintage OPT. Bob has been hording parts for decades and built these around the OPT's he had gathered. He was out after 7 or 8 pairs and the new ones are custom winds of his own design. Hence, the newer ones are able to take full advantage of the new KT-120's. These can be upgraded or can actually use the 120's but output is limited by the OPT. I sat down with Bob in late 09' to review these with him and his current builds include several of my ideas. Not circuit changes, but the front panel meters and procurement of upgraded small parts came from that meeting. I take no credit for the amps in any way. Just that he took some of my feedback to heart. These are otherwise the same exact amps. Tim, Joe and Bob have designed and built a truly unique circuit worthy of yet another Carver company. SET versions may be on the way.
