Up for sale is my "Cary Audio CAD 280-SA V12R Vacuum Tube Stereo Amplifier"
This V12 is the "R" version which is the last iteration of this classic and legendary amp. I am not the original owner and have never felt the need to remove the bottom plate to check what capacitors are installed as it sounds MUSICALLY FANTASTIC (google and read all the positive reviews). The tube complement consist of a complete set of CYROGENICALLY TREATED Tung-Sol 6550's (alone valued at about $650.00), a set of Lorenz EL-84's and two sets of 12BZ7 (GE and RCA). It does come with the original box but it is not in great shape, it is double boxed for safe shipping (tubes and fuses shipped in separate box). A copy of the manual is included but be advised there is no power cord (I would imagine anyone owning this amp would compliment it with an after market power cord). Please take a look at the photos as there are two very small chips on the chassis and front top left hand corner (dime used to give scale of chips) otherwise it presents very well. Buyer pays shipping and if paying via PayPal please add 3% to the total price.
