Conrad Johnson CAV-50 Integrated Tube Amplifier in very good cosmetic condition and perfect working condition. The faceplate is excellent with no defects. The chassis is also in great shape. It was serviced by a certified Conrad Johnson tech last year and it sounds fantastic. Comes with a copy of the owner's manual.
The Conrad-Johnson CAV-50 is an integrated amp that combines their PV10 tube preamplifier and MV55 tube amplifier in a single chassis. The factory wired operating mode is ultralinear push-pull, rated at 45 watts per channel; but it may also be configured for pure triode operation if desired, which is rated at 22 watts per channel power output in triode mode.
The CAV-50 has five inputs and a tape loop, plus a set of preamplifier outputs for use with a subwoofer or external amplifier if desired. Ituses two EL34 tubes per channel in ultralinear mode to achieve 45Wpc. One 12AU7 is used for the preamplifier line out; one 12AX7 per channel for the input-stage amplifier to power amplifier section, and lastly one 6SN7 per channel for the inverter stage, which helps support the EL34s. The CAV-50 keeps the signal path short and uses very high-quality parts, including high-quality precision resistors, polypropylene and polystyrene capacitors, discrete voltage regulators, oversized power-supply and output transformers.
Here's some specs from the Conrad Johnson website:
Tube complement:
4x EL34 (output), 2x 6SN7 (driver), 2x 12AX7Q (phase splitter) and 1x 12AU7 (preamp output). Rated output power: 45W into 8 ohms (16.5dBW), 30Hz-15kHz, 1% THD (pentode/ultralinear); 22Wpc into 8 ohms (13.4dBW), 1.5% THD (triode). Input impedance: 50k ohms. Sensitivity: 500mV for full power. Measured output impedance: 0.4 ohms.

Questions for the seller |

Hi!
Does this have a Home Theatre pass thru? Wondering if the pre out might work for this?
Thanks Hi there. I'm not an expert but I think the tape loop feature can be used to integrate with home theater.
Best. - Jim |
