Glen Croft's legendary GC-i integrated amplifier. Rare on the used market. Ken Kessler reviewed it in Hi Fi News in Jan 2004 (Google: Croftacoustics.co.uk) Click on GCI review. Beautiful fit and finish with a Perspex front panel, blue illumination, and a stainless steel top cover. As you can see from the pictures, very high quality jacks and speaker connectors. It is beautiful. Fitted with a pair of ECC83 drivers operating in Class A mode and driving two MOSFET output devices per channel, the GC-i is rated at approximately 30W per channel into 4 ohms, or 40-50W per channel, with 8 ohm loads. I have rated the unit very hard as a 7 mostly based on age. There are some small surface scratches on the polished stainless steel cover.
It was explained that this Croft integrated was designed using all-valve references, with MOSFETs substituted into the valve equivalent, so spiritually, at least--the GC-i is a valve amp. Excellent sounding and versatile amplifier with a small foot print (16" x 14" x 3") (W x D x H). Also included is a power cord, some basic operating instructions, and a copy of the Kessler review. I do not think there was an owners manual for it. I will double box the unit and pack very carefully. For the weight, I used the weight of the unit about 20 pounds and doubled it for safe packing. Shipping will be FEDEX ground with indirect signature required and insurance included.
I have used this GCI integrated with Spendor SP100 and Harbeth 7es with excellent results. The GCI has a VERY Detailed and Spacious sound. It has never given me any problems. Just too much equipment. There are 4 line inputs. One says phono, but there is no phono section.
I will cover ALL PAYPAL fees and SHIPPING costs at this price. Sales and shipping to lower 48 in US only.
