(SET) tube output stage installed and its power supply upgraded.

A sources’ output stage and its corresponding power
supply is one of the overriding reasons why components that employ the exact same
internal DAC chips sound totally different. Why one ends up sounding so much
better than the other. The quality of its output stage and its supporting power
supply plays a gigantic / disproportionate role.

Modwright Instruments and Part Connections have made a career
out of knowing this and offering solutions to improve/upgrade this.

This is an even better solution than going to Modwright
Instruments and Part Connections because it can be on different components, is less
costly, more versatile, not permanent but most of all so few people know about
just how fantastic it is and how much impact it can have!

It has been my secret weapon for quite some time. Combine
with this with a Darwin IC (not necessary but the addition was an incredible
match and I had to mention it, it peeled off so many layers when my system was
more modest) and you will be amazed! Footers and Weights not included and don't make a huge difference but these teaks do help a little. Not that expensive either. I paid $20 a peice for solid brass weights with cork pad on bottoms and $60 for the footers. Not expensive considering how much many other tweaks cost. The footers are Vibrapod cones and bases and the weights are from edenSound. Both are great bang for buck tweaks. 

If you buy this ZSTAGE and you want to go all in and get
a Darwin IC. I will hook you up. I have a $995 Darwin TRUTH IC that I will cut
you a deal on. I am asking $425 for a $995 Darwin TRUTH IC and if you buy this
ZSTAGE I will sell you the Darwin TRUTH IC for only $300. There is nothing even
close at this price point! I just know how amazing they are together and how
happy you will be and I will combine shipping of both to save you even more.

These upgrades inserted into a modest / decent system
will be a Total and I mean total, game changing, system changing, hobby
changing result and for pennies on the dollar when you see how much it does for
your rig when employed in a modest to medium rig.

It helped me early on in my Audiophile career to take a
huge step for little money and I am just looking to share my experience YMMV
but I doubt it if your system is semi-modest. It blew my rig out of the water
and I had some pretty-solid and decent equipment and have kept is all along
because of how much it did for me.  

The more modest your system the better. If you have a
very modest system and you step up and get a Darwin IC to go with this I
promise you will not believe it. It will blow you away but it works well on top
notch gear as well just not the same over the top results because your system
is already great but it will change the flavor and give you the flexibility to
voice you’re rig a bit. Especially those rigs with no tubes in them. For those it’s
a revelation.

to great effect: my original Pioneer Elite SC-57 AVR/MartinLogan Vantage’s,
then W4S DAC2/MartinLogan Spire’s, then Ayre QB-9/ Kharma CRM Reference 3.2F’s,
then PS Audio PerfectWave 1-2/Ascendo C-8 Renaissance, then PS Audio DirectStream/Wilson
Sophia 2’s and Oppo 103/ Sonus Faber Cremona Auditor’s and then on my Bricasti
M1SE DAC/Rethm Saadhana V3’s so it’s been with me through a fun and unique gear
journey. Obviously not as much ROI with the Bricasti than with W4S DAC2 but it’s
been a constant all along the way and now I am offering someone else a chance
to learn about it and try it.

Also, along the way at different times I have used it with
multiple, modest Pioneer and Denon CD/DVD players and on those the improvement
was nothing short of amazing at how much it improved them.

For a DAC, Streamer or CD/DVD player to come from the
factory with a first-rate, single ended triode (SET), class a, zero feedback, output
stage and a high-quality, properly matched power supply is quite costly to manufacture.
That is why the ones that come with these are very expensive and why once one is
installed it makes such a difference.

- It is in great condition but I am going to rate at 7/10
to be safe. One of the RCA’s is slightly of center, causes no problem and never
bothered me. Has always been like that / might be simple to straighten but it
never bothered because it was irrelevant. Other than this slight anomaly it is
great.
