I can go on and on about how it sounds, but if you are looking at this ad, then you must be well familiar with Don Allen gear.
It sounds magnificent and is dead quite on my 104db Oris Horn system. I am the second owner. I bought it as a combo with Don Allen mono amps. I ended up enjoying the preamp a lot more the than the mono amps. So I sold the amps a year or so ago and held on the the preamp. Truthfully, if I wasn't liquidating literally my entire system, I would have held on to it. In this price range or 2x to 3x this price range, I have not heard anything better. It really is a gem and in the world of highend audio, it's a true bargain.
As with most Don Allen gear, it has a DIY look to it, but it is in superb condition.
