Doshi Audio Alaap Mark II Tube preamp FIRE SALE!!!

MUST SELL!!! This Beautiful Doshi Alaap Mk. II in pristine condition. I have had this preamp in my system for the past 9 years paired to a DarTZeel NHB-108 because of its incredible Synergy when paired with this wonderful amp and can tell you that it brought me 9 years of Happiness. However, I never had the opportunity to hear the NHB-108 with the matching Preamp from DarTZeel  NHB-18NS and decided to take the plunge and buy one used here on Audiofon. I decided to keep the DarTZeel not because it is better than the Doshi, but because I can use the 50 ohm BNC darT connectors to the NHB-108 and to my Playback Designs MPS-5, also, synergistically speaking, it is a very good match for the NHB-108 logically so. I have had many preamps in my system in the 30 plus years that I've been an audio fanatic and can tell you that in all of the wonderful preamps that crossed my path and that were in my system, none have been as Musical as the Doshi Alaap MK II. Now it is time to part with it for someone else's enjoyment. 

This preamp is very flexible due to the fact that I customized it for 2 Moving Coil inputs with loadings for MC 1: 100, 400 and 1.5K ohms and MC 2: 220, 900 and 2.5K ohms and one Moving Magnet input (See photo). It also has inputs for 1 Balanced XLR and two RCA and two RCA Outputs. This preamp comes with a massive outboard transformer for the Blackest Backgrounds. You will not be disappointed with this wonderful and long discontinued preamp.

II: It is INCREDIBLE. It has the most beautiful yet neutral tonal balance
that I have ever heard. The Mark I is neutral, as well, tone wise. So than what
does the Mark II add? It keeps the great tone and adds even more EXPOLOSIVE
dynamics, while still being harmonically textural. Not easy to do, I am
guessing, but most importantly there was no tradeoff for these performance gains.
It still has all the finesse and nuance that I always loved.

These added dynamics really changed the musical presentation spatially in great
ways. The speakers really seem to disappear even more, music now just floats
effortlessly in black space. Notice I said black space, the Mark II is ultra-quiet.
The added dynamics were not a tradeoff for increased noise. The Mark II has a
blacker back ground then the Mark I, which is quiet for a tube preamp, but the
Mark II is as quiet as solid state designs. Summary the Doshi Mark II in Five
Words: MUSICAL, Textural, Dynamic, Harmonic, and Lively. I will never own
another preamp. I really don't think there will ever be a Mark III either, this
is as good as it gets."
