Dynaco Mk-3 Pair. Rebuilt Curcio Mark 3

This
is a beautiful pair of Mark 3s. I built these in the late 90s and
rarely used them. They have been stored in a my closet with some other
amps I have for sale this week. These amps were rebuilt without sparing
much in expense. All of the parts are high quality. First off the
chassis top and bottom were chrome plated. No Dynacos were chrome plated
from the factory. They were all nickel plated and prone to rust and
pits. These were "Chrome" plated by a local plater. The boards are
Curcio Premium upgrade boards that use the 6922 driver tubes. I used a
lot of very expensive resistors and Hovland Musicap and Infini-Cap
capacitors. The quad cap can is still there but only for looks. It was
replaced by an under deck Curcio cap board. All wiring was done with
silver coated copper teflon wire. The tube sockets are Mycalex if I
remember correctly. The front and rear panels were fashioned out of burl
walnut and finished with multiple coats of polyurethane. The feet are
also turned burl walnut. I built these when I had lots of time and was building to keep
them. The amps also come with stripped and repainted cages. The boards
have pairs of 6922 JAN tubes. The power tubes are old stock Svetlana
KT88s that are probably 20 years old and have less than 100 hours on
them. The rectifiers are 5U4G matched base RCAs.
These amps are much
nicer than the pics show. Nice shiny chrome, high quality build and
professional grade small woodwork. The spots in the pics are dust and
not pits. The pics also show where I was not a very good duster. All
parts are first rate. They look and sound fantastic.
