EAR 890 vacume tube stereo amplifier

You are looking at the legendary EAR (Esoteric Audio Research) 890 tube amp in very good condition as shown by photos. Designed by Tim de Paravicini (please google Tim for specifics on his background), who has worked with famous musician and singer Paul McCartney among others!

If you are seeking a 70 wpc class A, the EAR 890 would be hard to beat. This amp also offers 140 wpc if you prefer mono. Please do a search to learn more about what audio critics think about the EAR 890. No tricky tube biasing, Self Biasing Bliss~!

This Particular amp has been re-tubed but has since seen at most a few hundred hours of use. 

- Power: 70 watts per channel “Class A” or 140 watts in monoblock strapping mode. 
- Tubes: Four KT 90 Output tubes per channel (eight total!), two ECC85 (6AQ8), two ECC83 (12AX7) 
- Inputs: Balanced inputs (transformer-coupled) as well as unbalanced inputs, activated by a toggle switch 
- Separate Input level potentiometers for each channel

system! It is cost effective, powerful, maximally tuneful, user friendly, and you need 
only one chassis. ... It works with inefficient, 4-ohm speakers like the Eidolons, and will 
probably power anything on the planet, from horns to electrostats to multi-driver designs,
with musical authority. Plus, any normal audiophile can lift it without dastardly results.
