Futterman H3AA Pair Mirror Images Fully Restored

THE LAST PHOTO IS WHAT THE AMPS LOOKED LIKED INSIDE BEFORE THEY WERE RESTORED.

You are bidding on a pair of mirror image Futterman H3AA OTL amplifiers fully restored. All new components, resistors, caps, sockets, etc., but I left the chassis of the amps with their original patina, as they have pencil written notes on the inside from Julius Futterman. The pair of amps come with a complete set of tubes. Each amp will be shipped in its own box and the tubes will be shipped in an additional box so the shipping cost will be for 3 boxes total. Do not pay for the auction until I add up all shipping costs as the Audiogon shipping calculator does not calculate correctly for shipping 3 boxes. The last picture shows what the amps use to look like before the rebuild. More pics available upon request as I can only upload 6. These amps are numbered 56 & 57 as written by Futterman on the inside case.

Both amps have been rebuilt with all new diodes, resistors, capacitors, tube sockets, wiring, tubes, etc. All the parts are top of the line manufacturers such a Mundorf caps, Dale and Vishay resistors and Nichicon caps. The output capacitance has been increased for better bass range. The power supply capacitance in both the 270v and 145v power supply taps have been increased for better transient sound. All caps have been bypassed with film caps. The only tube socket that remained as is was the test socket since the numbering on the top of the amps lines up with the socket. The test socket was de-soldered and cleaned before being put back into service.

The amps work perfectly! They are fully tested! They sound better then expect! If you are in NYC I can arrange for you to come hear them play on my Quad 63 ESL's.

Shipping costs are paid for by the buyer. The boxes I have for each of these amps is a heavy walled card board box with 3 inches of padding around the amp. Good luck!
