Golden Tube Audio SE-40, Serial # 01998, modified by Soniccraft with resistor mods, 20 turn bias pots and sonicaps. Unit has been upgraded with resistor mods that corrects the issue of 6 SN7s running too much voltage. All inferior resistors were changed to quality resistors of the correct values. Many capacitors including coupling caps have been changed to sonicaps. This unit is very quiet, stable and sounds outstanding. It operates perfectly with no "hum" and classic tube sound.

Unit will ship with stock Russian 6SN7 driver and linestage tubes and original Russian 5881 power tubes. I will also include 11 SED 6L6 GC power tubes which has always been my preference in this amp. The Wing C 6L6GC's will handle the high bias current that this amp operates at. I will also include various driver tubes to tailor the sound to your system's needs. The driver tubes included are all 6SN7s and are as follows:
1 GE GTB
1 GE GTA
2 RCA GTBs
1 Russian 6H8C
1 Pope Phillips Holland GT and
1 RCA Grey Glass GT
I have no way to test these tubes but most have low hours and much life left in them. I'm sorry I can't tell you How much. My favorite, the RCA Grey Glass was recently purchased from Brent Jesse and has very few hours. The RCA and GEs are also recent purchases. The 6SN7s tend to have a long lifetime however, with the voltage mods applied.
I will include typed well-written biasing instructions and biasing cables to easily and effectively bias the amplifier for use. This amp is much easier to bias with the modified 20 turn bias pots installed. It is much more accurate and holds its bias well. Unit is well cared for and very nice appearance.
I have moved to ultra-efficient speakers and flea-powered amps and no longer use this amp.
