Heath W-5M Monoblock Tube amp pair. Peerless 16358 Large Output transformers.
Massive power transformers enable huge musical dynamics.
120 volt North America.
These amps are incredible for vintage amps. Have the bloom, drive, clarity, and dynamics of a 200 watt amp up to medium volume. I have run these on my BW 801s and they sound superb.
Simply the best cost-effective sleeper vintage amps you can find - I have tried nearly all including the big Fisher 50As, McIntosh MC30, MC40, Dynaco MKIII, and Altec 340s. Yes I have also owned many modern tube amps such as Sonic Frontiers, Cary, Audio Research VT-100, 200, CJ, VTL 225, etc.
If you listen at low to medium volume, the Heath sound cleaner and better - more pure and musical!
