Jadis JP 80 two chassis Preamplifier with separately housed power supply. This unit was modded by Da-Hong Seetoo with the following changes which are not reflected in the original retail price of $8995. Cost of the mod itself was $1535. The preamp was recently checked out by Peter Lederman of Soundsmith to confirm proper operation.
All internal wiring was upgraded to Cardas 15.5 wire
Balance control bypassed to allow for left and right individual volume control via two Alps volume pots
Input buffer and input phono stage resisters were removed
Phono stage gain increased to 55 db and RIAA curve corrected
Grounding of Phono Inputs rerouted to ground for Tubes to avoid ground loop
Input and output jacks upgraded to Tiffany OFC jacks
B+ power supply system modifies and B+ power supply filter cap value increased by 500uf
Muting circuit modified to shorting type
Line Stage gain lowered to 10 db
Feedback circuit changed to take feedback from cathode follower from both phono and line stage (instead of from output jacks). Allows better operation and speed with long cable runs.
All tubes were replaced with Telefunken "old-new stock" tubes
