JC Morrison tube preamp with separate regulated solid-state power supply. Tube compliment (4)6dg8. Purist preamp with dual mono volume controls . 1 MM phono input & 3 Line inputs. 1 set of output . Better quality parts (hovland, rel) . I was told this preamp was the reference preamp of one of the Listener magazine reviewers. I have had this for about 12 years and it has always worked perfectly. Quiet, clean, dynamic. It sounds like a souped-up, fleshed-out ARC. Both phono (MM only) and line are excellent. At this price point, probably impossible to come close to. NJ denizens are welcome to stop by to audition this fine custom effort.
