Jolida JD 1501 with Hot Rod Mods!

Jolida JD1501a Integrated Amplifier with Hot Rod Mods.  Unmodified, this integrated is well respected as an affordable entry into a tube hybrid design. The Hot Rod Mods include diode bridge, upgraded caps and balance bypass which take it to a higher sonic plateau. Modified versions of this amp are sought after by high-end listeners. This unit also has the subwoofer output which I have not used but have no reason to believe that it doesn't function as intended.   Condition of this amp is very good. Some very minor signs that it is a used piece but no scratches, gouges, or operational issues at all. There is a very slight discoloration on the volume knob which is extremely hard to see. I have not tried to clean it off - it may just wipe away - and it's only visible upon close inspection. I bought it with Amperex 12AU7A/ECC82 which is an excellent tube.  Also can use 12AX7's which I currently have been using (Tung Sol).  I prefered the lower gain tube when paired with my Jolida JD100 tube based CD player,  but like the TungSol's with my Carver SD/A 409t CD player.  Hot Rod modified version costs $1245.

With the Hot Rod Mods the performance jumps to a whole new level. I've enjoyed the way it let's the notes go - the decay, especially in a large recording venue is well rendered. Also, the pinpoint imaging with good recordings. "SuperBass 2" with Ray Brown, John Clayton and Christian McBride all playing their bass can get confusing on lesser equipment. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this as they were very well placed on the stage in their own distinct location...and you could hear the utensils hitting the dinner plates in the venue with astonishing realism.
