McIntosh MC-30 MC30 - Running Beautifully

Thinning my collection of vintage tube type audio gear. I've been collecting for almost 40 years! This unit is the second of two I have here for sale. This one is serial #18468. This evening Jan 20/17)  I brought it up very slowly on my variac, (over a few hours also with a lightbulb in series, a trick I've used for years and years to safely reform the electrolytics) and it sprang into life after sitting for many years. It sounds fabulous on my Tannoy GRF's. It may require restoration at some point, particularly if you are concerned about cosmetics as it is somewhat corroded. I always get a kick out of leaving them alone cosmetically and surprising guests with their superlative sound. It will clean up to some degree with some chrome cleaner or you can purchase a brand new chassis on eBay and make it look like new again. All the lettering is visible. As a vintage piece, it is sold as is with no warranties expressed or implied. Tubes ARE NOT included. Takes 2-1614's,(or 6L6's) a 12BH7, 2-12AX7's, a 5U4 and a 12AU7. Postage cost will be determined to your location at auction end by your choice of carrier. I don't charge anything extra to box items up very well, the only charge will be that of the carrier of your choice along with mandatory insurance. I want us both to have a great experience.(P.S.
