A McIntosh MC2000

'The amp itself is a star of stage and screen: vivid, round, airy, sexy, powerful, and palpable—a little bit of Hollywood.'    -Jonathan Scull, Stereophile, 2009
Scull's review says it better than we ever can. This amp is a beast. Powerful, sleek, and resilient, this piece is the real deal. Taken from the collection of Frank Sinatra, Jr., this MC2000 was found in his recording studio on a bottom shelf, untouched and in pristine condition. We've given the amp a basic test, and the sound is incredible. Please note this amp has NOT been calibrated, and such calibration will need to be performed at the discretion of the buyer. This is also for the UNIT ONLY, as we could not find the original packaging when moving Mr. Sinatra's estate. Should we find the manual and/or packaging, we will update this listing or send to the buyer. We have no need to tell you how rare these units tend to be, especially in what we assume is an unused condition. Serious inquiries only, please.

Questions for the seller
How do we know you're legit? And it really is part of Sinatra's estate?
Thank you for your interest. After Mr. Sinatra's untimely death last March, the trustees charged with executing the estate engaged the services of Jason Preston Art Advisory & Appraisals to appraise the tangible personal property for estate tax purposes. After receiving the completed appraisal, Mr. Sinatra's trustees turned to Jason for his assistance in monetizing items not retained by Frank Jr.'s heirs. Jason Preston is a well-known appraiser who appears regularly on the acclaimed PBS series 'Antiques Roadshow'. Prior to founding his eponymous firm, Jason enjoyed a storied career with the world's two preeminent auction houses, Sotheby's and Christie's, where he became well known for his specialization in the disposition of personal property owned by celebrities. During his illustrious auction house career and continuing through present day with his appraisal firm and its associated sales business, Preston & Co., Jason has appraised and/or sold property from the estates of Katharine Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash, Richard Avedon, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Bob & Dolores Hope, and now Frank Sinatra Jr., to name just a few. Jason has also appraised and/or sold things for Robert de Niro, Heidi Klum, John Carter Cash, Roseanne Cash, Phil Donahue & Marlo Thomas, Oprah Winfrey, and Cher, among many others. His credentials can be verified on the websites of both 'Antiques Roadshow' and the Appraisers Association of America, of which he is a certified member, their highest level of membership. You can keep up to date with his Roadshow appearances and other projects by following us on social media: [filtered] & Instagram, at jprestoninc; [filtered], Jason Preston Art Advisory & Appraisals. Upon request, Jason will sign a letter attesting to the provenance of items purchased from the Sinatra estate. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any additional questions. Best regards, Preston & Co.
