For sale is a pair of MC-30s. They are in very good condition AND they are a matched pair. Over the course of the time Mcintosh MC-30s were made, there were around 10 different revisions to the circuitry, so it is rare to find a pair with exactly the same circuit design and parts inside. The serial numbers are not sequential, but are relatively close. Since these were mostly sold individually, they are about as close as can be expected.
The chrome is mostly clean, there is no pitting, but there are tiny imperfections and small scratches in the chrome. There is also a tiny bit of oxidation on the edges of the amplifiers and on the rivets. This is exactly what would be expected out of amplifiers going on 60 years old. Transformers are clean without any major dents, paint has a couple tiny imperfections, but they certainly are still very pretty.
These amplifiers are completely original, the way they came out of the factory. I have not plugged these in, but there were working when the previous owner had them. That being said, I would not use these amplifiers until they are reasonably restored electrically. These are far too valuable to be relying on these old parts which could be very out of spec by this point. The tubes in the pictures are the ones included, so you'll need to purchase the rest. The rest I had were Chinese tubes and I've discarded them. These amplifiers will be completely sold as is. There is no guarantee of function, but I do guarantee the transformers are good. Aside from that, there are no returns, refunds (partial or full), and this sale is final and as-is.
