Rare pair of Statement 450 amplifiers from VAC with the iQ upgrade. Very good condition, except that the glass on the faceplate of one of the amps is cracked (see pictures). Owners manual included.
Questions for the seller |

I also have a strong interest in these amps, but Not at $52K. I didn't want to waste your time w/a low ball offer but I was also thinking $40K. SO, let's get some Facts: age, original owner, hours on tubes, and just what are those 4 white base tubes? Clearly Not the correct tubes. And busted glass plate, not acceptable in this price range. These are Upgraded, wrong cosmetic units nice for sure but $65K is dreamland Okay, I would not argue these came from an estate sale and were estimated by a third partly for used resale value. Verified by VAC. I can take a offer to the estate and I have seen them move. Tubes wer recently purchased based on Kevin Hayes personal recommendation to the original owner he had them for about 6 months before he passed. I will work to help as If i can get them out of my shop it would be great. I personally like the amps they sound really great but we make our own and these are just sitting her waiting for a new owner. The estate has been waiting 8 months on a sale and might be willing to move now. 40K? I am not surer they had a 40K offer once and turned it down but have had nothing since. Takes a very serious audiophile to be interested in a amp of this caliber. |
WIll you consider $40000 for the amps? Thanks. I am dealing with an estate and although I know they have some flexibility they wont do 40 as they have a appraisal for 65K however I did get them to the 52 and I think that is a killer price. I might be able to be better but maybe 5K better at max. At 40 it is not point asking sorry. If you want to use the offer button and try like 47 I think there is a possibility you will get them. I cannot take a hypothetical offer to them anyway, so any offer made must be official via the Audiogon system. |
