I am the original owner and purchased this NYAL preamp new in the early 1980s along with a Moscode 300 power amp. It has not been modified or repaired, other that vacuum tube replacement. It functions perfectly today, however due to its age capacitor replacement is highly recommended. The volume gain is adjustable and it set high to accomodate low output MC cartridge (Koetsu Black). Given its age it is being sold "As Is" however on site audition is permitted with voice verification and coordination.
