OCTAVE AUDIO V80SE W/SUPER BLACKBOX, STORE DEMO - perfect condition and all materials, low hours and lovingly used for less than ten months, this unit is fully warrantied. We opted not to add the optional phono section as at this level, an off-board unit makes the most sense in most cases, but we can work it in if it's a requirement.

The V80SE, as standard, is all the things that we love about tubes and none of the things that keep us from the glow. Reliable in a way that borders on indestructible, musical - with an expansive and holographic middle - and weighty in the vocal and string ranges so as to duplicate the sound of live voice, violin, guitar...

On the other hand, most tube amps are relatively delicate, slow to reach peak warmth and inefficient to own. Octave has used a slew of existing ideas and new ones to make this amp quick to reach peak operation, easy to bias, safe to experiment with and forgiving to all sources - and something else...

The compliment of KT150 output tubes on offer, coupled with massive transformers means we can just as easily drive KEF Blades, LS50's, Dynaudio C4's, as it can an efficient pair of Triangle Delta's or Epicon 8's. That power often in larger tube amps remain somewhat rolled off at the top and bottom octaves and those who love tubes for their harmonic distortions and sense of fluidity accept this as a trade-off. 

The V80SE does it all - with deep, layered and perfectly controlled lower registers and a top end that resembles the best amps from Simaudio and Boulder - and the Super Black Box allows for even more insight into these expanses, with more power stored on tap for difficult passages.

This is one of two integrated amplifiers that we believe to be the best in the world for the under-50K price-range, and it allows you to check the pre and amp box off your list of quibbles so that you can focus on finding the right speakers, sources and room treatments.
