This is a remarkable pre from a world renown designer. I liked it so much, I bought it twice ;)

My assumption will be that if you are reading, you understand that David Belles is a mad scientist that has been producing legendary designs for many years. I am a Belles addict with more gear than I care to admit that I have in my arsenal. This 22a is from my digital system, I am keeping the 22a in my analog system but decided to use the DAC as a digital pre for this system.

Why buy the 22a? A real-world preamp for those with a mixed system consisting of two-channel and theater/tv use. The HT (home theater) bypass is a unity gain input - bypass of volume - so your two-channel setup can share speakers and primary amps with the theater rig. The 22a is a current offering from Power Modules, a.k.a. Belles. Also worth noting, this is a great candidate for tube rolling.

Please ask questions, I’m happy to help assess whether this is a good fit.

This is a single ended line-stage preamp. No phono, no balanced input or output.
Local pickup is fine.
12v output for amp turn-on.

Pricing updated to reflect that unit will ship with low-hour OE tubes. I have a pair of Mullard CV4003 / 12AU7 Platinum grade, Vintage New Old Stock, purchased a couple of months ago from Upscale Audio that I prefer to hold on to for my other 22a, but could let go for a reasonable price. I am torn between the CIFTE that I am using currently and the Mullard's.
