PS Audio BHK Signature Preamp with extras!

This preamp is back up for sale after the winning bidder flaked out and disappeared after the auction closed. Please do not bid on this auction, if you aren’t willing, or able, to complete the transaction. A fantastic sounding PS Audio BHK Signature preamp in black. The factory remote is included and will also control the PS Audio DSD AC and PS Audio CD spinners. The remote is backlit and can dim the BHK’s display completely. I purchased my dealers demo earlier this year and works perfectly. It is under one year old. I am forced to sell, otherwise it would stay in my system, but with a kid going to college and car to buy, funds have to come from somewhere. If you want the pure midrange and high frequency response of a great tube preamp, but extension on the bottom, this is the preamp for you. In addition, the headphone amp drove my Sennheiser HD650’s beautifully and is the best these cans have ever sounded. The BHK is a fully balanced input to output and this is a big deal and a more expensive way to make a preamp. It has exceptional drive and even reasonable priced XLR cables work wonderfully. It will drive any amp through both its outputs, at the same time. I am including the factory Psvane 12AU7 tubes that have less than an hour on them. They are currently installed in the amp and I am including one set of silicon tube rings, which are pictured. I am also including one pair of Tungsram 12AU7’s, which measure strong and were matched on a calibrated Hickock TV7. For 6 volt tubes, I am including one pair of Tungsram PCC88’s from TubeWorld and one NOS pair of Torvac PCC88’s, which were made by Mullard in the UK and were used just long enough to make sure they work and are quiet in the preamp. The preamp sounds great with all of the included tubes, with the either of PCC88’s probably my favorite, although the Tungsram 12AU7’s also sound wonderful. If you aren’t familiar with the BHK, the volume control is unique and it is normal to hear some noise when changing volume. Otherwise, the preamp is very quiet. The top, gloss black surface has small, hair sized scratches from dusting that I cannot capture in photographs. I guess I’ll conservatively rate it as an 8, just for this.
