Thoress F2a11 SET tube integrated

Offered for sale here is a Thoress F2A11 Integrated S.E.T. amplifier. Comes with its box but no manual as it's a down load from the Thoress site. I is is excellent condition w/out a mark or scratch, but I am rating it as a 8 because I'm the 2nd owner.

The Thoress F2A11 Integrated S.E.T. uses two NOS Siemens F2A11 beam power tetrodes, made famous by the Klangfilm cinema amplifiers of post-war Germany. These N.O.S. professional grade tubes are known not only for meeting very tight specs and being extremely reliable, but also for offering excellent subjective sound quality (when operating in triode mode). They are certainly on par with the finest directly heated triodes such as the 2A3 or 300B. The driver tube is a carefully selected N.O.S. RCA 12SN7GT tube. The amp was retubed one month ago with hand selected tubes from Thoress.

The amplifier provides three inputs for line-level sources, selected by means of a rotary switch located on the rear panel of the amplifier. The volume of each channel is adjusted separately from the top of the amplifier via carefully matched high-grade rotary potentiometers. The mains transformer and output transformers are wound in-house to ensure the highest quality and reliability. The output transformers feature tape-wound cut cores (C-cores) and allow for precise matching of a 4, 8 or 16 ohm load (currently set at 8 ohms).

Power output is a massive 8 watts class A so you need efficient speakers starting around 92db >. The Thoress F2A11 is entirely hand-built and hard-wired, whereby every detail of the internal construction has been carefully considered for reliability and ease of service. The build quality is of the highest order. Wish all products were built like this.

Voltage is 230/120V selectable via jumpers on the transformer. It is wired for 120V at present.
