Incomparable single-ended 300B stereo amplifier from the Combak Corporation in Japan, now called Harmonix. Retail price was (it was recently discontinued) $25K. This is the US import version (117V) and is in perfect operating condition. This was originally purchased in 2007 but sat unused for many years. It has maybe a dozen hours playing time on it. Check out the online reviews for this amp in Positive Feedback, 6Moons, etc.
Operationally, this amp works simply and beautifully: you turn it on and a red LED turns slowly to green when the tubes are up to full voltage. It is self-biased and quiet as can be. Cosmetically, there is one mark on a corner and some wear on its feet which prevent a "9" grade, but it is operationally new (with low hours) and it's overall appearance is like new. Any wear to this amp is shelf-wear: it was moved around on a shelf but was unused.
This amp is offered (as shown in photos) with a pair (from 2006) of Westrex genuine Western Electric 300B tubes, an original matched pair of WE 310A input tubes and a JAN USA 5R4WGB rectifier (comes with an aluminum shield).
No power cable is included. I assume you will want to use your own high-end mains cable.
Note that I also photographed the amp with and without the plexi cage, which attaches with four small brackets. The brackets can be removed for a cleaner look. MORE PHOTOS WILL BE POSTED SHORTLY
Price is for pickup in the Chicago metro area, once payment clears. Will ship to USA/Canada at buyer's additional expense and risk. Please note that I am not interested in trades and price is firm, although I may consider offers for the amp without tubes.
