Forgot to mention this is a hybrid unit, not all tubes. From the Stereophile review:

The Phono One is a hybrid design. It uses a single JFET per channel as an input, followed by a 6922-based triple-series amplifier as a second stage. The output stage uses another 6922 as a cathode follower to lower the unit's output impedance. The circuit is noninverting and uses frequency-dependent feedback for equalization, with a single compensation network being "fed from a fairly low impedance, thereby avoiding slew-limiting at high frequencies." 54dB of gain is standard, but 44dB and 62dB are also available as special orders from the factory.

I'm the original and only owner. Purchased in the summer of 2000 from the local dealer. Put a few thousand ( guesstimate ) hours on it over the years. It started to sound tired so I sent it to Parts Connexion in August of 2014 for repair. Ended up having Chris do the full SE+ upgrade. The upgraded parts can be seen on the invoices from PC. They put some really exceptional parts in there as part of the upgrade. SF has always been known as the poster child for obsessing about parts quality, and the end results speak for them selves
The original unit was really good, but the upgrades took it to another level. this thing sounds phenomenal. I'm lazy so that's all I'm contributing to its sonic description. There's a lot of info on the web if you're interested in this. The upgraded unit is better than the stock version in all respects. This is the 62db gain version.
There are a couple of reasons I'm parting with this. First, and foremost, I've fallen for the sound of the really good MM cartridges and I don't need this much gain. FWIW, this unit will play MM cartridges beautifully with absolutely no overload of the input section. According to Chris ( president of PC and former president of SF ), it is impossible to overload the input section with any cartridge. Period. So you can play everything from MM to low output MC with this.
Second, I've got another all tube MM phonostage that I prefer ever so slightly while playing MM cartridges. So this can go to a home where it actually will be used.
I've moved twice while I owned this, so there are some very minor scratches that require some work to notice. I've marked the condition as Good to reflect this.
Will only ship via USPS. Will calculate the shipping costs and PayPal reimbursement of 2.9 % after the auction closes. Local pickup in CT Ok to save shipping costs. Bank check OK to save PayPal fees. I will ship or allow local pickup one week after my bank says your check is good. Must be insured for full auction price. Shipping and insurance to be paid for by buyer.
I think I still have the original manual ( though it's roughed up a bit ). I'll look for it. The manual is available online. I will include a copy of that in the box and the original if I find it.
Don't have the original shipping container. However, when I sent it to PC for repair and upgrade, they shipped it back professionally packed. The top has to be removed, and they fashioned a styrofoam sheet that holds all the tubes securely and safely for shipment. Therefore, you will have to take the top off, remove the styrofoam, and replace the top. Requires a small phillips head screwdriver which is not included.
No power cord. Threw all of those nasty things out years ago. This unit should be used with an aftermarket cord. I used LessLoss DFPC to very good effect. You'll have to find your own that mates well to your tastes and set-up.
What's nice about SF stuff is that you still receive full product support ( repair ) from PC if you need it.
Good luck bidding Note: Price when new was the unmodified unit. The mods added around nine hundred.
