Sonus Veritas Florence Monoblocks

Great condition, pair of Sonus
Veritas Florence developmental monoblock amplifiers with custom book matched
African Lacewood bases and a chrome plated top plate.

These amps use a compliment of
the following tubes: 6CJ3s for slow turn on and rectification, a 6SN7 input
tube and 6BX7 driver tubes for a double pair of Tung-Sol 6550s giving
approximately 65 WPC @ 3% distortion connected in triode as these amps are
currently.

The amps are a PP topology and
use a differential balanced circuit to cancel noise.  Lundahl transformers, including power supply,
choke, and output are used throughout the amp.

A panel meter and individual bias
adjustments are provided to set bias individually on each of the four output
tubes.

Inputs: balance and unbalanced.

Amplifiers come with original
boxes and packing.  Spare matched tube
sets are included as follows: 2 sets of 6550 Tung-Sol 6550s’, 2 sets of KT88’s,
1 spare ea of 6SN7, 6BX7, 6CJ3. Photos available on request.

Present 6550-tube set usage time
approx. 100 hrs. Amps purchased new in 2011 from Sonus Veritas, North Carolina.

Reason for selling & Owner’s
impressions; I have moved since original purchase and my new listening room is
approx 2x larger than previous room, and these beautiful sounding amps are slightly
underpowered for this room size. In a suitable listening area these are lush
but detailed amps free of the ‘butterscotch’ sound many tubes express. I’ve
owned ARC’s, C-J’s and an Ampzilla, but the Florence surpasses all for
transparency and accuracy. Wish I could keep these amps!
