Joule Electra VZN-80 Tube Amplifier

Rare
opportunity to purchase this tube amplifier that hardly ever appears on
the pre-owned market. This Joule Electra VZN-80 MKV (Emerald) Stereoblock brings the heat (and
the power)!

This is a really gorgeous sounding OTL amp and uses the famous 6C33C
tube. Power, finesse, and sweetness are the attributes of this OTL
amp. The BAT amps use the same power tubes but the Joule has more
immediacy and tube bloom imo.

There are a 2 minor issues that I need to bring to the attention of a
prospective buyer. My asking price reflects those issues as follows:

ISSUE 1 . The Variac (smaller unit) is used to power up and power
down the amp. It works as it should... except for when the knob is
turned, it becomes slightly mis-aligned as seen in the photo.

REMEDY: I spoke to Rich at Signature Sound, who is an authorized
seller/ repairs on Joule equipment and he advised that the variac could
be easily repaired if desired, but not necessary. He advised that to
replace the variac with a new one would cost $300. Any repair should
cost much less.

ISSUE 2 one of the black caps that covering the bias indicator stem
is missing. (see amp photo #8) It still works as it should, the cap is
more decorative.

REMEDY Buy replacement from Signature Sound

I originally priced this amp at $2800, which for this amp is priced
to sell. However, due to the aforementioned issues, I have taken off
$300 for the variac, to which you can replace, repair or pocket the
cash. Also took of $25 for the cap, which should be no more than $10

Also at my asking price, I will include eight (8) replacement power tubes.
