Unison Research Simply Italy

One of the sweetest sounding tube amplifiers in the world! If you can live with its 12 watts of Class A power, the Unison Research Simply Italy offers a sonic purity rarely matched at any price. Having owned the S6, I have to say the Simply Italy hits the sweet spot in the Unison line-up. Combined with the KEF LS50 in a moderate room, the Simply Italy nails me down for hours of musical enjoyment.

The Simply Italy rarely comes up for sale on the used market, and any time you see one on audiogon it is sold in a few days. I priced mine lower than previous listings mainly because of a small loss of painting on the rear corner of the transformer cover (pictured). This blemish is not visible from the front and does not affect functionality.  

I am the original/sole owner of the unit and bought it new in 2015 from Coleen Cardas, the North America distributor for Unison Research. I've enjoyed it in my third system which is now being dismantled due to a new born girl. The buyer will get the following items:

(1) Simply Italy with black faceplate and black remote control, in original double box/foam.

(2) Original User manual and power cord, optional (rarely used) chrome tube cage.

(3) Original EL34 power tubes, one pair, estimated 300 hours, running strong.

(4) Original 12AU7 tubes, one pair, estimated 3 hours, like new.

For less than 1500 dollars I doubt anybody can find a more musical amp with a cleaner history. My unit was installed in a back-up bedroom and enjoyed its limited use under low-volume, pet-free, kid-free, smoker-free, and power-conditioned environment. Needless to say, the amp works flawlessly and produces lovely music every single time.

I am selling my entire office system ... I have sold the KEF LS50, in another listing I have my Arcam D33 DAC for sale. My price is firm and the amp will sell quickly. Pease check my feedback and buy with absolute confidence from one of the very reputable audiophile.
