Lovely-sounding vacuum tube integrated amplifier with enough current to drive most medium-efficiency loudspeakers. I have used this amplifier in my secondary system, which I’m now downsizing, for several years with no problems at all. You may see one of these new on Amazon for $1700.00, but that’s the Japanese version designed to run on 100 volts. This is the American/Canadian version designed to run on 120 volts. There is a difference. Although tonally very neutral, the TRV-88SE still has that classic tube sound in a smaller, cool-running package. Also has preamp in that bypasses the volume control and tape out.
